Our remembrance and prayers were echoed across the world by millions. In Armenia, the President and the Armenian Catholicos, Karekin II,  came together in Yerevan to lay flowers at the memorial there.

At 10am on Good Friday St Chrysostom’s Church stood sombre and bare in preparation for our remembrance of our Lord’s crucifixion. At 12noon there stood an Easter Garden, beautifully crafted by the children and their helpers as we remembered together the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection…

On the edge of our parish is a small 140yr old Armenian Church. It is the only Armenian Church in Britain outside London. It serves a dispersed community in the North West.

Most people say ‘Amen’ at the end of prayers. I couldn’t help but smile to myself when, at the end of a prayer, one of the children at school called out ‘chicken nuggets’ – I guess last night’s food was repeating on him (cheap joke sorry).
