A feast for the Feast of the Annunciation

Last Wednesday (25th March) we celebrated

the Feast of the Annunciation in splendid style!

Our celebration of Mass was followed by a superb 3 course meal with wine fantasically organised by Desmond and Michael. Tickets were £10 and 30 people attended and were treated to a delicious menu in the beautiful setting of the church, seated at tables transformed by Desmond and Michael into a 5 star restaurant with candles and flowers.

Desmond and Michael lay on a fine spread

Ready, set...

Desmond and Michael had decided to put on this meal for their contribution to our ‘Sponsor a Day’ scheme at church, to raise money for building work and our outreach in the community. (We are inviting people to raise £50 to sponsor a day of our church’s life.) A raffle was also held with 2 bottles of wine and 2 boxes of chocolates being won – just over £50 was raised with which Ionie will also sponsor a day.

Thank you to Desmond and Michael for all their very hard work and for such a lovely occasion.

We look forward to the next one…. 🙂

Guests relax, feeling full...

What a splendid affair, and what an excellent idea “Sponsor a Day”.
Wishing you the Joy of our Risen Saviour for Easter.
