Epiphany Snow!

We had a white Christmas in Victoria Park, and now we are having a white Epiphanytide.

Heavy snow came as something of a surprise on Tuesday morning (January 5th). The side roads are covered in snow and walking on the pavements has become very difficult.

Both of our parish schools – St Johns CE on Clarence Road, and St Chrysostoms CE, closed on Tuesday January 5ht because of the snow and remained closed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Getting out has proved very difficult, especially for the elderly.

It has a fun side too. There have been lovely street scenes. Many parents have stayed at home, and have been playing in the snow with their children. People have got to know one another through the snow activities. There is a lovely variety of snow men, and other snow sculptures,  in the area.
