Bobbi and Monika’s wedding

Witamy w Kościele Świętego Jana Chryzostoma na uroczystości zaślubin Boba i Moniki.

So read the Mass booklet – welcome to Bobbi and Monika’s wedding at St Chrysostom’s.

Bobbi and Monika’s Nuptial (Wedding) Mass brought together people from south Poland, Nigeria and Manchester!

There was a lovely sense of welcome, joy and thanksgiving as we worshipped together and enjoyed food together in church.

Two different cultures came together wonderfully, and the wedding mass reflected the devotion of Poland and the exuberance of Nigeria.

Looking for coins!

Polish people were surprised by cheering and clapping as Fr John proclaimed Bobbi and Monika man and wife, and Nigerian people were surprised that in the bridal procession all the guests led the couple out of church.

We returned to church though to share sparkling wine and ‘pie’ together.

There were also traditional English parts too, All things Bright and Beautiful and coins were scattered for children as the couple left church.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Monika and Bobby from everyone at St Chrysostom’s! (Now how do you say that in Polish?)
