“Our School has been judged by OFSTED as outstanding! We are one of the best schools in the country.”
So read a text sent to parents and carers of children at St Chrysostom’s Church of England Primary School. The report of the official inspectors of the school (OFSTED inspectors) has just been issued. It will be available on the OFSTED site soon but you can read it here first! Click here: St Chrysostom’s Primary OFSTED published report and here are some quotes from the report:
This is an outstanding school….
Leaders and managers do not forget that learning is also about fun and enjoyment, which the school provides in lavish amounts through outstanding teaching and the excellence of the curriculum.
Behaviour is exemplary. Pupils love being in school where they feel exceptionally safe. They are confident, polite and welcoming to visitors. Their pride in their school is almost palpable.
No stone unturned to ensure that each pupil achieves at least in line with his or her potential
Parents and carers value the school extremely highly. The school’s success in developing community cohesion is outstanding.
Well done to Miss Michael the Head Teacher, Mrs Jackson, the long serving deputy headteacher and all the staff, pupils, parents and carers.
The school was founded many years ago by St Chrysostom’s Church, and today we work in close partnership. The church is rightly proud of the school. We say:
For St Chrysostom’s School Let us bless the Lord. THANKS BE TO GOD!

As a Foundation Governor of a Church School in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, I am really impressed with your outstanding OFSTED. There are many who just do not realise how much hard work and dedication go into making a school the very best it can be so that the whole community benefits. The spiritual dimension is not an added extra, it is an essential part of the quest for wholeness and you school is truly blessed. Congratulations and may you continue to grow in every aspect of school life.
