An OUTSTANDING celebration

A procession of 1s - the school received 27 out of 32 outstandings (1s)

“A treasured day in the school’s history,”

“Church and school at their best,”

“The children singing with passion and joy was incredibly uplifting.”

Just some of the words which were spoken to describe the wonderful celebration by St Chrysostom’s school at St Chrysostom’s church today.

The children, staff, governors, parents and supporters were there to celebrate the Outstanding school inspection (OFSTED) report. It was a special day of joy.

Favourite songs of the children, words from the OFSTED report read by teachers and children, enthusiastic druming, spontaneous dancing and fun made an outstanding celebration. Bishop Mark tried to raise the roof with cheers, and Miss Michael, as ever, encouraged and animated all.

It was so appropriate that at the end teachers were given a bouquet of flowers, and finally the outstanding head teacher herself received a special bouquet.

Well done St Chrysostom’s School!
