Our new Parish Reader

Trish Lindsay was licensed as a reader in the parish on Sunday 11th December.

Trish trained as a reader a few years ago and was part of the ministry in a nearby parish. More recently she has found her spiritual home at St Chrysostom’s. Trish says everyone at St Chrysostom’s has been so welcoming and encouraging to her.

Canon Chris Bracegirdle (pictured here with Trish, and Desmond and Andrew, churchwardens) is the Diocesan Warden of Readers and he preached and licensed Trish to the parish, at Mass.

As a Reader Trish will preach from time to time, be involved in outreach work and help with group work and teaching at Church.

Reader ministry is a voluntary and supportive ministry in a parish, and in his talk Canon Bracegirdle asked if anyone else in the congregation would like to consider such ministry.
