Creating Mosaics

Here is Angela, a mosaicist working on one of the new mosaics for Church.

We’ve a special and creative project this year for the Year 6 children from both our parish schools. They came together at church, and together came up with designs which reflect the community, and the ethos of the schools and church.

Their ideas were amazing and creative. Very soon some common themes emerged and working with Angela they produced some fantastic designs.

Then work began. All the children had a part in making the mosaics themselves in their schools. Angela then painstakingly took away the pieces and put them together, rather like a jigsaw.  Look out soon on the blog for photos of the finished products.
