No place like Rome: Another postcard from the Vatican

Earlier this year Fr Ian attended a general Papal audience in the Vatican, and now Fr Chris has been. Is this telling us something?

I was lucky this morning and arrived in the rain as the Patriarch of the West, aka Pope Benedict, was finishing his customary Wednesday audience in St Peter’s Square.

I joined the many pilgrims as he greeted the crowd. We all received his blessing at the end. I was a long way away, but you can just make out the white cassocked figure if you look closely – honestly!!!

It’s throwing it down with rain today, but Rome is a beautiful city.

Best wishes to all,

Fr Chris
