St Chrysostom’s School Key Stage Two gave a fantastic concert in Church on Wednesday evening (June 26th). It was lovely to see such a variety of people attend – staff, children, parents, carers and friends. Well over 100 people came to watch. It was especially good that people of differing faiths felt able to come together. It was a great sign of inter faith celebration and working – a small sign of what our world needs, and what can be done.
The joyful singing filled the whole church. The enthusiasm and exuberance of the children created a special atmosphere. They began by singing Mr Postman and other pieces included When I grow up and the ever popular Price Tag..AND not only the children…
Staff too had formed a choir. The staff choir sang Day by Day and Make you feel my love and at the end staff and children sang Diamonds.
What was wonderful was how many people clearly enjoyed the short concert and how many asked when the next one will be.
A lovely example of church and school working together.
(There is a good short video clip on the Church Facebook Page).
