Postcard from the 15.05 to Redmire

Redmire TrainOne of our younger church members, Dominic sends a postcard from Wensleydale in North Yorkshire

We went on the train pulled by steam engine 69023 from Leyburn to Redmire.

We could smell the smoke from the steam engine in our compartment.

On the way we went over lots of bridges and tunnels and we saw red admirals, sheep and donkeys. There were not many people on the train so we had a compartment all to our selves.

Last year we saw Dr Preston and Mrs Preston at Redmire station but this year when we got there they were not there.

It was a special journey and Gregory and I loved it.

Love from
