Interdependent People

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. John 1.16

Day 11

One of my favourite analogies for our interdependence, and how it should be is the scene in a concert hall, with a very large orchestra, and a choir, a conductor of  course, and  a full auditorium. Everyone is focussed on the one thing, the performance of that one piece of music, and the desire to make it as perfect as possible. Everyone there is as valuable as everyone else, each one needs all the others, and the audience are as vital as players and singers to the total experience.

Would that we could recognise and acknowledge such interdependence in many more mundane, but also vital activities and thank God for each other as we recognise his love in and around us.
