Remembering Gill and Dick Hatch

Bench use thisWe have placed a bench, specially made for us by an eco-friendly local company, outside the church, near the main door. A plaque in the church informs us that the bench is in memory of Dick and Gill Hatch, former worshippers. The cost of the bench has been met by friends and family of Dick and Gill.

It is good to have gifts like this at Church in memory of former church members who have helped build up our church to what it is. Gill and Dick were kind and generous supporters of St Chrysostom’s Church. Gill faithfully worshipped week by week, chaired the Governing Body of St Chrysostom’s School for many years, helped lead singing in worship, served on the Church Council and above all is remembered at Church for her cheerfulness and for her astute wisdom.

D G PlaqueTo have met Dick once is never to forget him! His energy, his willingness to help, his generous welcome to all have helped shape our christian community. His love of music led him and Gill to often invite students from church to their home to listen to different composers, and he was happy to share CDs from his large collection.

Gill and Dick are missed greatly at St Chrysostom’s. May they rest in peace and rise in glory.
