Sixth Station – Jesus rewards Veronica’s charity

Jesus Rewards Veronica’s Charity

We adore you O Christ and we bless you
Because by your Holy Cross you have redeemed the world

One woman, moved by compassion stepped out from the crowd and wiped Jesus’ face, cleansing it from blood, sweat and dirt so that now he could see.The likeness of his face was imprinted on the cloth, as perhaps his look of gratitude and love was imprinted on her heart.

Jesus give us the courage to step out from the crowd to cheer, or encourage anyone who is being taunted, or bullied, or one who needs help, and to see in them your likeness.

(Our reflections and prayers for the Stations of the Cross this year have been written for us by Sister Jean Mary CHN)
