Easter 50Here’s an invitation to you to receive a word each day in Eastertide –  #TheEaster50

We love Eastertide at St Chrysostom’s. We campaign to honour with joy and celebration the whole Easter Season! We encourage you to think of ways to mark this special season of our Christian Year. The 40 days of Lent prepare us to celebrate the 50 days of Easter, so don’t stop at Easter day carry on the celebration.

More about this later. But for now news of something special for this year.

One way we’re marking Eastertide this year is with #TheEaster50. It’s a simple idea. Each day of Eastertide we are sending out, through an e mail to all who sign up for it, and also through Facebook and Twitter, an Easter word – taken from the Bible – usually the Gospels. With the word is an image, the verse for the Bible it comes from, and a couple of sentences to help us think about and reflect on the word through the day. We’re aiming at being positive and upbuilding – in our St Chrysostom’s style.

People will be welcome to add their thought or prayer through the #TheEaster50 hashtag on Twitter or via our facebook page.

We’d love you to sign up now to receive your Easter word each day by e mail.

All you have to do is click here – and you will be directed to a very simple form to fill in which adds you to the #TheEaster50 mailing.
