What a wonderful Carol Service! So lovely to see our community so well represented in its diversity, and to be joined by the story of Christ’s coming at Christmas. Here are some comments of people who came:
For me something amazing happened …earth reached up to heaven and heaven touched earth…in the form of the annual Victoria Park Carol Service at St Chrysostoms church. Such a fabulous occasion with young and old, rich and poor, believers and non, Christians, Muslims celebrating joy together…
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the evening for me was members of St Chrysostom’s congregation saying ‘Glory to God in the Highest, and Peace to his people on earth’ in their differing languages; including Cantonese, Chinese, German, Spanish, Indian, Greek, Shona, Amharic, Welsh and Ibo.
Wonderful!
I love this church! It welcomes everyone…just as it should be!
I wish I lived closer, I would come every week
I enjoyed that lots of different things happened, it was a new experience for me it was fantastic
The Carol service filled the Church with people from many parts of the community. The singing was joyful. For me a special moment was Silent Night sung in different languages around the church. It was a wonder filled moment of peace.
I thought it brought a moment of hope, peace and unity to my world. Its so much needed in our world today.
