We’ve had so many lovely comments about this year’s Carol Service. We invited a few people to share their special moments from the evening. Here are a selection:
“For me the special moment was the very international affirmation : Glory to God in the Highest and Peace to God’s People on earth! ”
“Some people had travelled long distances to attend. It was lovely to meet up with them.”
“I was struck with the Czech carol – the melody is still an “ear worm” (There is a recording from King’s, Cambridge, here)
“A friend of mine who has come along for the last 5 or so years commented that it was “the best one so far”. It was also lovely to have the refreshments in church afterwards as none of the atmosphere was lost and so many more people seemed to stay and join in our wonderful St C’s fellowship.”
“The whole service reminded me of a verse from Romans: “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)”
“The teamwork and the effort put into the service were obvious, and it paid off. It being my fourth Carol service here, the international proclamation of the Gloria has always and continues to be my highlight of the evening. We are blessed with so many wonderful people that participate in their own way, and however much or little they put in, they all add up to the wonderful evening we had.”
“I enjoyed the service very much. Its been 9 years since I was last there.
You’ve done an excellent job. Can’t remember ever having standing room only to start with. Thanks for a lovely service.”
THANK YOU to all who contributed to the Carol Service in whatever way…
